New Year and New Stuff

Right now I am sitting here eating my eggs, spinach and beans (just remembered the beano) and trying to whip through my computer stuff so I can get to AVN/AEE.

Since this is the first week of the new year I have been doing everything I can to put my plans into effect as far as my New Years Resolutions/Goals.  Some things have been going good.  Some not so good.

I was inspired to try Tim Ferriss’s slow carb diet in the 4 Hour Body book he wrote.  It’s been surprisingly easy but I’m not sure I’m doing it right.

I joined with a power partner for the first 100 days of the year and that has been really good – we meet at the gym as well as hash through our stuff.

I have been sticking to my meditation… 20 mins in the morning and 20 mins at night a la Wayne Dyer method.  I got really creative with the carrot and stick on that one and it’s kept me to it (if you want to know what my carrot and stick are you’ll have to ask me).

What I wanted to do but haven’t

- blog.  For my new biz.  That is the most time consuming.

-market.  Posting ads on all the free places for stuff I have coming up

I haven’t made time for it.  I was inspired to put it on my list but haven’t been inspired enough to do it…to make time for it.  I feel like I’ve wanted to do it but not bad enough to make it happen.  Hmmm…

I see I need to not beat myself up for the few things I haven’t done and celebrate those I have.

Wish me luck at AVN/AEE.  I’ll be tweeting about it from my twitter account @702sexcoach.

Time Away From Home and Business

Having just reached my destination I feel better.  Some thing about traveling away from home is so invigorating for me – the distance helps me gain perspective.  I am grateful in this day and age that I can take my biz with me wherever I go and am also grateful I know how to go off the grid when it counts.

There are some things you can only learn from experience.  Now I know to not travel 2 weekends in a row because 1. I’m a mom and it hurts my heart to be away so much and 2. I want to run my biz with low stress.  While I take my work on the road there are always interesting challenges that I wouldn’t have to deal with if I was home.

All that being said, this weekend I will keep my head where my feet are.  I am in LA for the Rockstar Marketing Bootcamp.  This is the type of thing I love to do the most and I pledge to enjoy it full out.  I love meeting people, making connections and finding solutions!

Two Weddings and a Business Trip

March has already been a full month!

Yesterday (the 6th) my sister got married.  I was the maid of honor.  And it was an honor.  They had a very simple and beautiful wedding.  Her new husband (Jeff) is a terrific guy!  I know they will be a great husband and wife for each other.  The wedding came on the heals of my business Grand Opening and let me tell you – it was a jam packed week!

The Grand Opening was a success – we had almost 50 people and raised almost $300 for the Difference Maker PE Grant.  So that was pretty good if I do say so myself!

In the midst of all this I am working with 5 clients who have me on monthly retainer and I just started working on another very large account.  So I also hired an assistant to keep everything going because before the end of this month I still have ANOTHER WEDDING AND A BUSINESS TRIP!

Yup, my little brother is getting married on Saturday the 13th.  I am really looking forward to the wedding and the family reunion that will entail.  What I am not looking forward to is the travel – He lives in Florida!  While I love to travel, I am going to be walking the tight rope and juggling at the same time as I keep the work going for my clients and am present and available for my family.

And, then I have A BUSINESS TRIP!! Now, again, I love to travel, and I am setting up my business in such a way that I get to travel.  Now I get to figure out logistics and mechanics of it all.  I will be at the Rockstar Marketing Bootcamp in LA.  I know I am going to learn a ton and make amazing connections – and again make sure all the work is flowing here in my office.

So this is where I have to lean on my spiritual toolkit, plug into my Higher Power, and take things one at a time.  This is the only way things will flow – if I get out of the way and let the flow happen!  I have become a powerful manifester and now to use that power carefully and wisely.  Now not only to ask for the things I want but also what I need to be a good steward of my blessings.  I believe that as I plug into my higher power I will have what it takes to facilitate all that needs to be done and that everything does happen in divine right order.  As I feel fear or overwhelm come upon me I must remember to be humble and ask for help and then accept it when it comes.  I do always do my best; however, I must accept mistakes and make the best of them, learn from them and move on.  It serves no one if I become frozen with fear, remorse or worry.  “Just keep swimming” as she says in Finding Nemo.

Some things that I am grateful for and I know make it totally possible that all activities come off without a hitch:

My husband, my happy home, my daughter, my coaches, my team, my ability to communicate, my ability to learn, my awareness, my sympathy and empathy just to name a few.

Off to a great start to another busy week!

My dreams are coming true!

One one hand I feel like all the work I’ve done and all the things I’ve learned up til now are being used and I’m benefiting.  On the other hand I am very aware of how much I still need to learn and do.  Almost every day I am getting a new client and/or joint venture partner.  As the end of the year approaches I am excited – and scared and overwhelmed.  I see again that when I am clear on what I want it appears.  I am listening to CD’s about quantum physics.  It is the science behind positive thinking.  I am seeing changes in my life just from listening to the info without having consciously put anything into effect yet.

This is where I am putting things in the hands of my Higher Power.  When I think of all I want to do and get stuck or negative feelings I can just take it one activity at a time.  Because I do have a mind to use I can make decisions that are right based on the information I have.  Make my plan and let go.  I have faith that even if things don’t look the way I think they should that everything is happening exactly the right way.  Then I get to practice detachment.

My biggest challenge through this is to love and take care of myself.  In the effort to “get it all done” I will neglect things that make my body and soul feel better- eating right, exercising, sleeping, meditating and being with my family.  I can run like that for a long time until it becomes painful.  I pray now and set my intention to honor myself by taking care of myself.  I draw on the unlimited resource of my Higher Power and practice faith that by taking care of myself I am a more useful person all the way around.

Recording my personal journey

Things are going so well right now!  And they are so challenging.  At first I was going to use this blog strictly for business and marketing.  I’ve now decided to also journal on it to share my insight and experiences.  Some day I will write a book and these blog entries will come in handy.

I’ve just finished part 1 of a 2 part teleseminar.  I am joint-venturing with another business owner to do this.  This is one of the biggest manifestations in my life right now- all the partnerships I have.  I am working with amazing people!  All the pieces are coming together for the fruition of my vision of being a successful business owner.

I have an amazing feeling of gratitude and am staying on top of things one at a time.  Now I’m off to have coffee with someone on my facebook friends list.  I love bringing virtual relationships to real life!  Maybe this is why online dating works.  We already know a lot about eachother and are meeting to see how we might move forward.
